The Beautiful Arts and Crafts era Curlew Cottage is set down a quiet gated lane, on the edge of The Farmhouse Estate.

Inside the generous accommodation is both comfortable and stylishly presented with space for the whole family to relax. The cottage sits within lovely mature gardens with a delightful terrace and barbeque house and offers panoramic views from almost every room over adjoining farmland towards the moors and dales of the National Park - it really is the perfect family retreat.

Downstairs there's a large living room with an open fire to gather around each evening (logs are provided for you). A SMART TV if you fancy chilling with a movie. Wi-Fi and high speed broadband is also available if you need to catch up online.

The Farmhouse-style kitchen with its breakfast bar and cosy AGA keeping everything nice and toasty in the winter months has all that you might need for rustling up delicious family meals. A utility room houses the washing machine & dryer. The adjoining light-filled dining area looks out over the beautiful south-facing garden. A chunky oak table seats up to 8 people comfortably. For those special occasions, and subject to advance booking we offer a bespoke dining service with a Cordon Bleu trained chef and interesting wine list.

To keep everyone entertained there is also a large games room downstairs which features a wide-screen TV, sofa and beanbags, and pool/ping pong table among other distractions. With its elegant painted wood panelling it's like having your very own private members club to escape to. There's also a downstairs cloakroom for your convenience.

The bedrooms are set out across the 1st and 2nd floors. Bedroom one on the 1st floor is a lovely large room boasting a king size bed with an en suite shower room and WC. Bedrooms two and three are also on this floor, both charming twin rooms which share the family bathroom.

The bathroom features a bath, separate walk-in shower and WC. The fourth bedroom has the top floor all to itself and has a double bed with en suite shower room.

There is so much to enjoy outside this wonderful holiday home, guests are welcome to use the paths over the owner's private estate that is home to over 80 species of birds and animals including the wonderful Roe Deer. The beautiful south-facing garden has a lovely lawned area, perfect for stretching out with a blanket and a good book in the summer months. There's also a terrace for al-fresco dining and a BBQ House which is useable throughout the year.

Lockable storage for bikes is available during your stay. Extra wellies are provided too if you fancy a hike across the fields without ruining your best boots!

As with all our self catered cottages we provide a delicious, fresh and locally sourced welcome basket.
